The team even put a realistic physics system in it to give it that extra touch of realism. Plus, just because it's a 2D side-scrolling adventure, doesn't mean it's a simple one. Plus, the music of the game is very minimal, going to instead take you to an open world that you can hear a pin drop in. The use of lightning, the way the camera has a grainy feel to it, it almost makes you feel like you're in a movie and not a video game.
The noir style setting is crisp and detailed in a way you wouldn't expect from a black-and-white game. Starting with just the look of the game, Limbo is not like other video game titles. Yep, that's it, that's all, but that's ok, for the game doesn't need a vast explanation of what it is. Even though the explanation for the game is a single sentence: " Uncertain of his sister's fate, a boy enters LIMBO". One of those games is Limbo, and you'll see the moment you play it just why it's hailed as one of the best games ever made. They give you an experience, an experience that can transcend all intensions and purposes. Because these titles give you something much more, much deeper.
