Unless those who claim they unlocked this achievement by owning only base game show proof, then it is a lie.
I mean, I would love to be wrong, but I'm not planting my hopes up. What does this mean? Well, if you have Awakened, then you and I and every other unlucky achievement hunter might be out of luck. Thing is, there are some lucky wankers who have this achievement unlocked, so what's up with that? Well, is a Dead Space 3 vanilla achievement, not one added by DLC, so in all probability, the lucky few who have it got it before getting Awakened (lol see what I did there?).
